What Is Income Protection Insurance?

Income Protection Insurance provides you with a weekly benefit paid directly to you if you are unable to work due to an accident or sickness.  You can select the benefit period (how long you receive the weekly benefit), the elimination period (the amount of time you must be disabled before you start receiving benefits) and the amount of your benefit (up to a maximum based on your income).

Benefits can be used to pay your mortgage, make car or credit card payments, pay for groceries, child care, etc.  The benefits can be used however you wish.
